anything on our timeline because we have already observed the event. It's part of our timeline's history so you
couldn't change it.

I think traveling backwards in time physically will be a very tough thing to accomplish. I was recently watching a
documentary on the BBC called "Time Trip." It featured people like Professor Frank Tipler (Tulane University,The
Omega Point theory) and Professor Nick Bostrom (Oxford,Simulation hypothesis) (2). Bostrom talks about how time
travel to the past may be possible via a simulation. An advanced civilization could create ancestor civilizations. This
way traveling to the past would not disturb the original timeline because your in a simulation. You also have Professor
Ronald Mallet predicting time travel will occur this century. (3).

Time Travel to the Future

Time travel to the future would be easier. We already have evidence that traveling to the future is possible. The
Cosmonaut Sergei Vasilyevich Avdeyev spent 748 days on Mir space station traveling at 17,000 mph. He traveled 0.2
seconds or 20 milliseconds into the future (4). This can be described by another paradox called the twin paradox (5).
This basically says that if one twin was traveling through space on a high speed rocket for years he would return to
earth and he would be younger than his twin.

How could an advanced civilization change our past by traveling to the future?

Now that we looked at backwards and forwards time travel, how could this help an advanced civilization tinker with our
timeline.

Let's say this advanced civilization wanted Barack Obama to be President. The year is 2007 and the month is March.
This advanced civilization could travel to the future. They can see that Hillary Clinton will become President because
Obama didn't compete in Iowa. He skipped Iowa and tried to build a firewall in New Hampshire that didn't work and we
have our first female President. This advanced civilisation could then travel back to 2007 and they could make sure
that Obama competes in Iowa.

See, they can change our timeline if it hasn't been observed yet. Einstein told us that the distinction between past,
present and future is just a persistent illusion. So the future exists, it's just not apart of the history of our timeline
yet. This gives an advanced civilization the ability to change a past that might have been by traveling to the future.
This would send ripples throughout our timeline and it would affect a lot of people. Let's say a woman working for
Clinton was ready to go into politics. She becomes discouraged when Clinton loses and she goes to Law School where
she meets her future husband. In the original timeline where Clinton won she might be a Mayor or Congresswoman.
In the new timeline she's a lawyer. Have you ever had that feeling that you know and can remember doing something
only to find out that it never occurred? I know it has happened to me before. I will say,"I know I went there or I know
I did that." Maybe these things occurred on our original timeline that was altered by an advanced civilization.

Is there any evidence that this has occurred in the past?

I think there is. The evidence is circumstantial and subjective but it's interesting nonetheless. This advanced
civilization wouldn't change small things but major things that involve leaders throughout the world. Certain things
would feel like destiny. It would almost seem like it was guided. You hear this talk about leaders like Alexander the
Great to George Washington.

Let's say that America lost the revolutionary war in the original timeline. This advanced civilization could travel to the
future before the war and see that we lost. They could then make sure that America won the war. It would feel like
destiny. Like something was guiding them.

Unfortunately, these things would be hard if not impossible to measure. This is because we would see these things as
destiny, deja vu or we were just mistaken. So the next time you say,"I could have sworn I did that", maybe you did.

Introduction

This paper will attempt to show that an advanced civilization can change the past by traveling to the future. The
question we will ask is can you travel to the future? If you travel to the past, can you change our timeline? How would
an advanced civilization change the past by traveling to the future?

The subject of time travel has been discussed throughout the years by everyone from science fiction writers to
theoretical physicist. The laws of physics as we know them do not prohibit backwards or forwards time travel. So to
figure out how this would benefit an advanced civilization, we have to first as is time travel to the past/future possible.

Time Travel to the Past

Time travel to the past conjures up paradoxes on top of
paradoxes. One of the most famous paradoxes is the
grandfather paradox (1). It says if you go back in time to kill
your grandfather then you would never be born. It's
obvious that this would create a lot of problems. The way to
get around this is parallel universes. Say you go back in time
and you kill your grandfather, a parallel universe would
branch off of our universe and you would be on a timeline
that's different than the one you originated from. In this
timeline one of your parents may not exist.

You can't change an observed event by traveling backwards
in time and as you will see this is a key to traveling to the
future to change our past. So say you want to go back in
time and kill Hitler before WW2. This wouldn't change

TODAY IS
KEN PFEIFERS THOUGHTS: After reading Harold Wimberly's interesting article about time travel, I had to really
think about what he wrote.  Being able to travel to the future will enable us to travel to the past because our future
civilization, lets say in 2029, may have this technology to travel to the past. Its like taking two steps forward to take
three steps back.  Deja vu could be proof that out timeline has been tampered with by advanced civilizations.

I feel that alien civilizations have been guiding our destiny from day one. With their advanced science and
knowledge, it would be easy for them to accomplish time travel to anywhere in the universe. They have been
leading us, by the nose,  since the cave man and are still leading us today.  It may be like a big board game, like
Monopoly, to them. The major difference could be that, someone is a bad guy and someone is the good guy.

Now, how does God fit into all of this.  Are they the Gods or is there a higher power that is controlling them too.
My head is hurting.  Harold Wimberly started this.....I get a headache when I have to think.......Thanks Harold
