Many researchers into the UFO/Extraterrestrial phenomenon and the paranormal experience have looked upon the
two as completely separate matters.  Each has even developed their own cultures, with extreme variations on the part
of both.  UFO extremists, which I also refer to as the “Tinfoil Hat Club”, submerse themselves so far into their culture
that they are found to accept any “theory” as fact, even without the substantiation so mandated even by those
scientists who approach the phenom with healthy, open-minded skepticism.

“Ghost Chasers”, on the other hand, are paranormal extremists who tend to accept any perceived paranormal
activity, however doubtful, as the proof required to validate theories of an “other side”, a world of spirits, demons,
and poltergeists.  Ghost Chasers are those so consumed with rubber-stamping paranormal claims that they forget to
consider other natural or man-made causalities.  They do so without the much needed scientific research, casting all
paranormal investigators and researchers as fodder for skeptics and giving debunkers of the paranormal easy work at
casting all paranormal researchers as ungrounded and prone to fantastic flights of fantasy.

A small group of moderates see both phenomena as related in many ways, accepting the possibility of inter-
disciplinary bleed-over; one disciplinary trait resembling another discipline enough to warrant consideration and
research into similar root causes.

LIGHTS IN THE SKY
Mainstays in the world of
Ufology are what are termed
“Lights in the Sky”, or LITS.
LITS are those anomalous
aerial phenomenon observed
in the dark of night that
materialize in the form of
points of light of varying
colors, quantities, and
brightness.  These points of
light are differentiated from
man-made aircraft by radical
performances and
instantaneous and extreme
deviations / course changes
or turns that would be
impossible for Human pilots
with present day technology
to accomplish, much less
survive.  These previously
believed unable-to-execute
turns would transform the
Human body into a
gelatinous stain on the
inside bulkhead of the craft,

today’s military and commercial aviation fleets.

LITS are considered by many as the bane of Ufology – much too plentiful and almost devoid of any descriptive
minutiae what would speak to the reality of the spectacle.  Due to environmental factors such as low- or no- lighting
(nighttime) present when LITS are observed, specific and detailed features of the light source are indiscernible,
presenting a great amount of angst on the part of researchers and investigators, and engendering an unhealthy
amount of dismissal of the sightings by skeptics and the general public at large.
SPIRIT LIGHTS
Spirits are a paranormal stronghold and one of the
primary focuses of scientific paranormal research.
Sometimes observed as faintly illuminated, sometimes
transparent humanoid-shaped anomalies, spirits can
also manifest as light sources, especially if observed
at a distance, such as in a heavily wooded area.

The points of light generally attributed to paranormal
activity are described as small and round, with varying
degrees of brightness and color.  Some are seen in
motion, but most are observed relatively stationary.
Attempts by the observer to draw closer generally
result in the sudden disappearance of the light source.

The similarities between LITS and Spirit Lights (or SL’
s) are unmistakable.  Both lack solid qualities and
minute descriptions, most likely from being viewed in
low lighting relative to the brightness of the object.
Both seem to have an evasive quality, in that
investigators who approach either LITS or SL’s
witness their disappearance or fading away from
view.  From the descriptors available from studying
LITS and SL’s, similarities do exist enough to warrant
further study from both sides.

GHOST IMAGES
Ghosts are described as generally recognizable Human
bodies, even though it will often only show part of the
body, such as the upper quadrant.  One of the most
popular conceptions of ghosts is that of a translucent
body that moves or disappears by fading away or
blinking out.
Some reports of alien encounters describe a hovering or floating entity, as well as translucent figures of something
obviously alien to our reality that can seem to float or disappear at will.  Notable similarities exist between our
descriptions of ghosts and some of these sightings of Extraterrestrials that may hover effortlessly over the ground
or floor, and often will disappear or fade away like its ghost counterpart.

CONCLUSIONS
It is inescapably obvious that both the discipline of Ufology and the paranormal studies have real, quantitative, and
comparable anomalies into which extensive research would increase Humanity’s understanding of pure science and
possibly life after death.

In reality, LITS and SL’s are unusually similar.  If Spirit Lights truly are the remaining energies from once-living Human
beings, then could LITS also be the same?  Could LITS be the remaining energies from once-living Extraterrestrial
Entities?

Could ET sightings involving only observing portions of Extraterrestrials in reality be manifestations of deceased
aliens?  Since God is the Creator of the universe and all that is in it, it stands to reason that ET’s would have souls or
spirits that are released by death.  Those same souls or spirits could be the LITS or SL’s being observed.

It is accepted among paranormal researchers that ghosts and spirits tend to haunt areas they previously lived or died
in.  Spirits that remain to haunt usually do so in areas or locations that held strong feeling for the deceased.  Do not
some UFO lore speak to aliens crashing and perishing near Corona, New Mexico (the infamous Roswell Incident where
a crashed extraterrestrial spacecraft and its otherworldly occupants were recovered by American military forces in
1947 and secreted away to one or many classified locations specially suited to examine, investigate, and analyze the
recovered assets and technologies)?  The emotions immediately preceding an anticipated, inevitable crash can
conceivably be enough to hold them to that location, in essence rendering them alien ghosts here on Earth.

An understanding of this fact, that Extraterrestrials may have souls or spirits that can be released upon death, and
which act and react much the same way as Human spirits and souls, whether disappearing altogether or remaining to
haunt a location, brings Humanity one step closer to understanding that which is so very alien to us, but is essentially
identical.

Response from Ken Pfeifer, Training Consultant for JFS

I just finished your article on Extraterrestrial Hauntings.  I must say you have presented an
exciting concept about life after death for humans and aliens.

I have always thought that ghost are serving their purgatory here on earth for some reason.
Possibly because they were not baptised or were not faithful to their own religion. Many ghost
are connected to a tragic death from murder or some other horrible catastrophe.  Apparently
they are here for a reason and the reason could be that they deserve to be punished in this
way.  The same could be said of why some people die peacefully in their sleep or some people
have a terrible death due to cancer or some other deadly disease.
Maybe this is God's way of dealing out a little purgatory here on earth before a person passes to heaven.  I think it's
very hard  not to go to heaven.  Everyone will eventually get there but a price will be paid before you walk through
the Pearly Gates.  I would love to know the torture that Hitler and the rest of the mass murders are receiving from
the good Lord.  They may get to heaven one day but it could take a few million years in God's hell to even the score.

God created the heavens and the earth.  Alien life could have the same rules from God as we do.  They are just
serving out their punishment in another way.  Interesting concept to say the least.
