The one cornerstone present in each scientific discipline is an industry or trade journal. Leading journals with the
status of medicine’s Journal of the American Medical Association and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics
Engineer’s various trade journals, the hospitality industry’s Hotelier, law enforcement’s Journal of California Law
Enforcement, and many more, allow for one-stop-shopping for peer review and education within their industry-
specific disciplines.
To be valuable, a trade journal must exhibit the processes of peer review. By thoroughly, publicly, and respectfully
subjecting a colleague’s scholarly work, research or ideas to the evaluation and scrutiny of others who are experts in
the same field, new and innovative ideas can be vetted and expanded upon. Such a painstaking process would thus
increase the validity of UFO research and it’s acceptance by the mainstream scientific community. By achieving such
recognition, the growing synergy experienced by Ufology would be escalated by the addition of an increasing number
of diverse, formerly strict mainstream researchers.
A contribution for every educational stage of Ufology, from beginner through intermediate to advanced, will greatly
benefit the competence of the individual researcher and investigator, thereby investing in the growing contribution
each individual can make to the science of Ufology.
By expanding the publication limitations by publishing on the World Wide Web, every researcher and investigator can
readily access and benefit by a publication that encourages innovation and connects the brilliant intellects devoted to
the study of UFO’s.
The premier historical, educational, and case study online publication in Ufology, the Journal of Frontier Science
(JFS) will provide a dynamic contribution to the Ufologist. Nowhere will a Ufologist find the quality and the benefit to
be found within the pages of JFS.
This publication has high hopes. The intent is not to compete with other luminary UFO-related publications, such as
UFO Magazine, the late UFODATA Magazine, or UFO Digest; all greats in their own right. My goal in publishing such as
this is, in plain English, to cultivate and enhance the general level of training and research exponentially and to
engender a synergy geared toward solving each and every mystery embodied within Ufology. By making JFS available
to everyone free of charge, by bringing together the great minds with novice and promising Ufologists, I hope JFS
provides a meaningful, insightful, and innovative contribution to all.
